Poem for the Prisoner

As the ocean
Exerts her love
For the vessel lost,
I too, have a jealous hold
For the secrets
Buried in the darkness
Beyond the eyes of passers by.

There's beauty within
The barnacled surface,
Treasures abandoned
Long ago

With the precision
Of an expert diver,
I plunge time and again
Returning with
Unmapped marvels
More valuable than gems.

I'm rich with laughter,
I'm high on the depths
That I've traveled to.
I hear you calling,
"DIVE"
